NEC today announced a new entry-level installation projector called the NP610. Designed specifically for large conference rooms or lecture halls, this projector provides a native resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, 500:1 contrast ratio, 3500 ANSI lumens brightness, up to 5000 hours of lamp life (in ECO Mode) and consumes 312W power in normal mode or 237W power in ECO mode. It also comes with a 7W speaker and several connectivity ports including S-video, DVI-I with HDCP, 15-pin, RCA and VGA.

The NEC NP610 will go on sale in November for an estimated street price of $1,499.
