In a welcome reversal of trends, Samsung just stuffed a 3G cellphone into a 12 megapixel camera making this M8920 / SCH-W880 more of a camera than most 12 megapixel cameraphones can claim.
While this presumed follow-up to Samsung’s Pixon 12 (M8910) isn’t official, the announcement looks imminent based on the leaked collateral above and the spyshots that emerged over the weekend.
What’s impressive here is that extending 3x optical zoom something carried over from the SCH-B600 and dedicated camera controls like a mode dial, shutter and zoom, and big 3.3-inch WVGA AMOLED display. Rounding out the specs are HD (720p presumably) video, HSDPA data, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, microSD slot, and DMB mobile television; that latter spec making this Korea-only whenever it does launch. Sony Ericsson’s Android-powered XPERIA X3, will be going live in January of 2010. Mobile Crunch is reporting on an as-yet unconfirmed rumor that Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA X3 will make its debut as the company’s first Android smartphone in time to usher in the new year.
The main attraction of the Palm Pixie, besides the cute and miniature design, is the built-in keyboard that is right in the front. This same keyboard does not have to worry about the slide-in mechanism of the Palm Pre, so the Palm Pixi allows for “taller” buttons to allow a better feel when typing.
Not many people use PDAs these days considering the archaic nature of the device, but selected industries and lines of work still require such a device, but ordinary builds won’t be able to last in those environments.







Samsung today announced another innovative pocket camera that offers Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and DLNA connectivity. Samsung will release the CL65 digital camera that features a 12.2-megapixel image sensor with a 5x optical zoom. The camera supports DLNA to make it compatible with home entertainment devices.
