Cute Headphone Sharing Robot – Splitterbot

splitterbot-headphone-sharing-robot-portsSplitterbot helps you to share music with your friends. The Splitterbot is the friendly kind of robot. Pull off his head to reveal a male headphone plug… he doesn’t mind. Pop his head on top of your iPhone, iPod or other similar audio playing device

Then plug a pair of headphones into each of his eye sockets. Splitterbot doesn’t mind, he simply distributes your music to both sets of headphones so that you and a friend can listen at once. What a selfless robot he is… torturing himself for your pleasure. Seems like you could be a bit more appreciative of his efforts.

Palm Pixi is the Smaller Palm Pre

palm-pixi-imagesThe main attraction of the Palm Pixie, besides the cute and miniature design, is the built-in keyboard that is right in the front. This same keyboard does not have to worry about the slide-in mechanism of the Palm Pre, so the Palm Pixi allows for “taller” buttons to allow a better feel when typing.

Also, instead of the ball to navigate through menus, there is a “touch area”, which is used for forward and back gestures.  One major Drawback  is the lack of Wifi connectivity on this smartphone, but it is also aimed at a “cheaper” consumer, so this was probably omitted to keep costs low, which are to be cheaper than the $150-200 Pre. iHome’s iP51GR Micro System

ihome iP51GR iPhone-iPodiHome has a new iPhone/ipod alarm system to strut. The iHome ip51gr system is a “micro system” which means that it won’t take up too much space, and that it should be great for dorm rooms and the like. Fortunately, it has been designed with two satellite speakers with Reson8 speaker technology and a powerful subwoofer so that despite being small in size, it wont be small in audio power.

The alarm clock function of the system features include programmable snooze, a 7-5-2 alarm, menu navigation, wake to playlist, auto-set clock, gradual wake & sleep. A remote control is included a swell. (more…)

BluNote Bluetooth Speaker rocks our socks off

blunotespeak

Skeptical of Blutooth we just got schooled in what a portable Bluetooth speaker can do. The Spracht AURA BluNote Bluetooth Speaker is about the size of two palms next to each other, but sounds like it’s a whole lot bigger. You can hook it up to any cellphone or music player that supports the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), so we tested it on our iPhone 3GS. (more…)

Black Hole Phone

iPhone Apps Worth $2.4 Billion Per Year,But Who’s Using Them?

Ipod Touch

Less than a week ago, I picked up my Gen 1 iPod Touch, powered it on, and sighed in a manner that was composed of both disgust and failure. As dozens  of app icons appeared on my screen, I thought about how much money I have spent on programs that I initially used with frenzied passion, but quickly forgot about. Apparently, I’m not alone. (more…)

Conspiracy theories on delayed launch of iPhone in India

Apple Iphone

This is the first time in three years that I’ve gone without a shiny new (test/demo) iPhone beyond Independence day. The first one of course didn’t launch in India but I managed to get my hands on one anyway. I got to review the iPhone 3G on the 18th of August last year, but we knew well in advance, exactly on what day it would launch. This time around, although “sometime in August” was the official word from Apple and its partnering telecom operators, there’s been absolutely no sign of the new iPhone 3GS till now. (more…)

Window Phone gives you a look at the weather outside

Window-Phone

We try to cover concept technology with some form of regularity, because it generally sounds cool.  The problem with concept tech, however, is that it fails to become what we in the business like to know as “reality.” With that caveat stated, check out the Window Phone. (more…)
