Nokia and Qualcomm form Snapdragon-based Symbian Phone

nokia-logoThe Nokia phones are expected to be working on the Snapdragon processor. Imagine the Symbian-powered smarphones which will run on the Snapdragon processor making the smarphones to run much faster than they do today.

Nokia and Qualcomm are working collaboratively for new Symbian-powered smartphone which will run on a Snapdragon processor. The speed of the phones would last for at least a 1GHz clock speed running within the chassis.

With respect to today’s market, we do see that the Symbian platform is lagging behind the iPhone and Android phones. But, with the collective effort of Nokia and Qualcomm we can expect the Symbian mobiles coming back to their normal positions once they hit the market. These Smartphones with the Snapdragon processor are expected to hit the North American market somewhere middle of this year. Stay tuned for more updates on Symbian Phones.
